Tiger Update

Tiger Moth

Fantastic progress has been made on the Tiger Moth restoration project during the past couple of weeks. The volunteers have worked really hard to overcome many obstacles and restore the Tiger Moth to its original state.

Recent work has involved the production of elevator control wires. Working from original drawings & images the team have managed to replicate the elevator cables and have fitted them inside the Tiger fuselage alongside creating access panels for the wires to exit the body of the aircraft and reach the elevators.

 Future Work

The next step is to fit all the electric wiring which will travel from the cockpit to the tail light.

The team are currently remaking all the wires for the switch panel and remaking a loom. Once the wiring is complete the switch panel will be fitted in the cockpit.

The dials for the Tiger control panel have been professionally cleaned and restored and are now being fitted back into the panel and will soon be ready to go back into the cockpit.
