Veterans Weekend 5-6 July 2008

RAF Shawbury Veterans Weekend

RAF Shawbury will hold a Veterans' Weekend on 5 - 6 July 2008 in conjunction with The Assault Glider Trust. With the help of dedicated volunteers, many of whom are ex-Service personnel, the Trust is building a WW2 Airspeed Horsa and renovating a Waco Assault Glider, a Dakota tug aircraft and a Tiger Moth trainer. The event will grant access to the project as well as the opportunity to meet veterans from all three armed Services who have contributed to a variety of conflicts. There will be a Veterans' Badge presentation as well as a number of interactive events and displays including the Band of The Parachute Regiment.
