Horsa Cockpit

Over the past 5 years Michael Lillistone has been working hard on the construction of a Horsa Cockpit for the Silent Wings Museum, Texas. The cockpit will be put on display in the Museum and utilised as an integral component of their airborne exhibitions. Throughout the construction process Michael has used original parts when and where necessary and every other element he has constructed from scratch. The workmanship on the cockpit is exceptional and its creation has been an essential element of the project over the last few years. Here are a selection of images showing some of the construction history.
